With over 29 years of experience in destination marketing, Edward is a highly recognised opinion leader in the Chinese tourism industry. He spent 13 years in leadership positions for the Greater China market for Tourism Victoria and Tourism Australia. He led the development of travel trade distribution network (ASP) and Business Events (MICE), as well as directed consumer marketing in the areas of brand establishments, public relations, advertising, digital marketing, social media and events management.
Edward has been based in Shanghai for 16 years where he has developed extensive network with high-level leaders in the China media and outbound travel industry across leisure, luxury and MICE sectors. With his business relationships, many tourism products/services have been successfully established in the market through his strategic planning and partnership engagement efforts.
Edward has been recently appointed as the conference moderator, facilitator and emcee for many travel trade events, including COTTM (China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market), Travel Agent Magazine annual award event, as well as the China Mission held by Brand USA.
